LEGISLATION TO REAUTHORIZE FIRST COMPREHENSIVE STUDY ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN A DECADE

We are proud of our opportunities to support local and national public policy efforts that improve our national approach to fighting human trafficking. This includes local regulations around exploitative business practices, statewide criminal statutes and remedies, and national public policy efforts from task forces to internal policies to national laws.

Most recently we had the opportunity to work with Senator Hawley’s office on a bill that would increase our national knowledge on the scope and conditions of human trafficking in the United Stats.

“We support Senator Hawley’s bill for an in-depth examination of the most severe forms of trafficking in persons in the United States. It is crucial we update our knowledge of the extent of human trafficking in the United States – our own backyard – to better comprehend the dynamics, who the victims are, how to protect people, and most importantly, how to effectively combat this crime and human rights abuse so that it one day ceases to exist.”Rochelle Keyhan, CEO of Collective Libertyhttps://www.hawley.senate.gov/hawley-introduces-legislation-reauthorize-first-comprehensive-study-human-trafficking-decade?fbclid=IwAR3cYbsz6AbCZ_xCwMHxYNHAwf9FpeC14mwYJzn1ICA_JLDMGpPvkxDJ-Xk
