More and more cases across the country are seeing motels and hotels sued for allegedly knowing about sex trafficking and profiting from it. These venues are at the center of sex trafficking. The owners of these businesses must enforce anti-trafficking policies and be proactive in preventing their facility from being used by traffickers.

The lawsuit accuses Stone Hospitality, which owns the Motel 6, of reckless disregard for the situation, and violating federal sex-trafficking laws. She seeks unspecified amount of financial compensation. Motel 6, which stopped its oversight of the North Little Rock locatin last spring, has not been named in the lawsuit, the company said.
